Capacity-Building for Teachers

Enabling Geography teachers is vital to the enhancement of Geography education in India. This is because most teachers of Geography are not formally trained in the discipline of Geography. Initial efforts at this have been successful in stimulating interest and excitement among teachers. TIIGS is undertaking efforts now to institutionalize capacity-building for teachers of Geography.
