For our teachers
Geography education must become more field-work and application oriented to be relevant to India and Indian students. To compete in the global marketplace of ideas, careers, and jobs, students need the latest in Geographical thinking, tools, and techniques.
Teachers play a vital role in providing this. Unfortunately, teachers of Geography are not adequately empowered to teach it in innovative and engaging styles. Their professional development has been lagging for a long time. Unless this improves, Geography education will continue to suffer.
We hope to help build the capacities of teachers to inspire students to excel in their understanding of, and empathetic engagement with, the world. We reach out to teachers of all subjects because Geography is an integrating discipline. Inter-disciplinary learning is the only way forward.
We aim to offer pedagogical and other support through different activities for your professional development and to help you enjoy teaching.

These are constantly being developed to meet the needs of students, teachers, and parents / guardians / care-givers. Our approach is two-fold: (a) Geography education must make the subject relevant to our lives, and (b) Geography education must foster inter-disciplinary thinking and problem-solving.
