TIIGS Projects
Research at TIIGS has a focus on application, on bringing the relevance of Geography to life. The projects listed here (proposed or completed) have that focus.
For example, 10th grade students studying IGCSE Geography in 2005, did an in-depth case study on “girl children in sex work in Bangalore” for their chapter on “Urban Geography in Developing Countries.” The case study used real-world data from Jagruthi, a NGO that works with children and adults vulnerable to HIV and other infections. TIIGS had collaborated on the project with Jagruthi.
We are exploring work from a variety of NGOs to be converted into teaching modules. If you know of, or yourself work with, any NGO whose work would be suitable, please contact us with details.
Projects listed here need funding and other support. If you can help with funding, or at leaset information on possible funding sources, please contact us.
