Welcome to GeoVidyaa, our Geography education program. Our aim is to help you to:
- Discover the joy and relevance of Geography education for life, not just for exams
- Remove the artificial walls separating subjects in the curriculum
Our programs and projects will help you:
- Understand Earth
- Tackle environmental issues (global warming, pollution, deforestation, energy resources, etc.)
- Understand and help people who face injustices for any reason (disability, disease, poverty, gender, age, etc.)
- Look at connections between Geography and many things you enjoy (you’ll enjoy them even more)
TIIGS offers many kinds of activities for students including field-work projects, computer-aided projects (”IT-Enabled Geography” or IT-EG), and workshops.
These are constantly being developed to meet your needs. Our approach is two-fold: (a) Geography education must make the subject relevant to our lives, and (b) Geography education must foster inter-disciplinary thinking and problem-solving.
